Troy is a Los Angeles based music educator, pianist and producer. Graduating with a bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music. Troy was classically trained on piano from age six for 7 years before he dived into jazz piano techniques. He passed ABRSM Grades with Distinction at a young age, and in 2017 has performed at one of the largest jazz venues in Shanghai, Jazz at Lincoln Center.
While at Berklee, he studied under the chair of the piano department Dave Limina, who is a global award winning pianist, and designed part of Berklee’s piano programs. Troy has a versatile skill set in his piano performance, ranging from classical to R&B, latin and jazz.
In addition to his piano performance experience, Troy is a music educator at heart. He is keen on curating personalized teaching plans for his students utilizing their learning strength, likewise, he takes pride in the process of growing with the students.
As a producer, Troy specializes in pop music production, sound design and mixing. He is currently a contract producer with Universal Group China and has produced/ arranged compositions on China Central Television that amassed more than 2 million streams. He is also an active composer in sync, having his work aired on radio and TV stations such as KMCT-TV.
