MUSIC LESSONS FOR ALL AGES.

Nick / piano

Nick Ginsburg is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator living in Los Angeles. Growing up in
Carbondale, Illinois he was fortunate to be surrounded by accessible public school music education and
perform in a variety of orchestral, liturgical, opera, and musical theater settings. Beginning undergraduate
studies as a B.A. Music major at Vassar College studying piano with Todd Crow and organ with Gail Archer,
Nick is a double-degree graduate of Oberlin College-Conservatory of Music with a B.A. and B.M. in French
horn Performance and Environmental Studies. He has called Los Angeles home since pursuing graduate
education at California Institute of the Arts, receiving an M.F.A. as a Lillian Disney Scholar.

Equally at home within the classical canon, performer-composer collaborations in new music, and the creative
arts, Nick has performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, New World Center, Los Angeles County Museum
of Art, Museum of Jurassic Technology, Vassar College, Colby College, University of Tennessee, CalArts and
The REEF Creative Habitat as a French hornist, pianist, vocalist, and freelance performer-composer. He is a
member of DIAPASON, a Los Angeles-based brass quartet specializing in long-form performances of music
in just intonation, and the ECHOI Ensemble, currently in residence at the Monday Evening Concerts (MEC)
series.

As a teacher, Nick strives to meet each individual student where they are in their musical journey, embracing a
holistic and interdisciplinary perspective that combines achieving personalized goals with a strong focus on
developing musical fundamentals and fluid performance skills. He welcomes both advanced students looking
to refine their technique, logistical approaches to their instrument and expand their repertoire as well as total
beginners and anyone else looking to further build a love and appreciation for music and sound.
