Karla Massiell Merencio Castellanos was born and raised in Havana, Cuba.
During her early years her family noticed right away that she had a gift for music.
She studied Violin, Viola and Piano, and arrive to the National School of Music (ENM or ENA). Between music, singing, dancing and playing percussion she molded herself as an Artist, giving her the opportunity to share her knowledge and play with Orbert Davis and the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic.
Karla has been performing and studying all genres of music,
giving her the chance to understand other cultures which allows her to bring and share those
experiences on to the Stage. From the National Classical Ballet Orchestra in Cuba,
Andres Levin, Brenda Navarrete to Grupo Bella in Los Angeles. Karla has been teaching students of all ages for more than 4 years,
A word that defines her is FUN, as Music is the Most powerful Art form.
