Dei De-Urresti has studied music performance for 23 years. Raised in Caracas, Venezuela, he studied under the influence of great musical leaders, who taught him violin through continuous training at “Emil Friedman Conservatory”, one of the most acclaimed music programs across Venezuela.
During his teenage years, he toured and performed as an orchestral member of “El Sistema” (FESNOJIV), under the coaching of internationally-known conductors.
Dei has also grown into a singer-songwriter since he left home at 17 to come to California, where he attended California State University Fullerton and earned a degree in Music Performance.
Throughout his years at CSUF’s School of Music, he toured to Paris and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, in both occasions as one of the leading head players of the orchestra.
Aside from his academic and personal music formation, Dei invests his time collaborating with musicians based in South America and across the U.S., as well as teaching and coaching violin playing to musicians of all ages and levels.
