TJ Sclafani is a composer, performer, and teaching artist based in Los Angeles, CA. Passionate about music education and instilling a love of the arts in students, TJ taught beginning music at West Creek Academy in Santa Clarita, music production at CAPSA in Crenshaw, and was named an AmeriCorps Scholar in 2018. As a vocalist, TJ has performed with HEX, Laude, the New York Choral Society, C3LA, C4: The Choral Composer-Conductor Collective, and the San Gabriel Valley Choral Company, among other groups. In his spare time, he helps run See-A-Dot Music Publishing, a choral music publishing company that focuses on new choral works.
TJ received his BFA in theater with a minor in music from NYU and his MFA in music composition from CalArts.
