Mana Azimi grew up watching her mom teach piano, and she started playing piano herself at age seven in Tehran, Iran. After moving to the United States as a child, she began participating in many competitions on the piano, and she started learning the harp as well. She won second place in the East Valley Music Teachers’ Association Piano Competition, third place in the Yamaha Young Artist Piano Competition, and first place in the Dobson Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. Mana has been teaching piano at the Los Angeles Music and Art School as well as harp during her graduate studies at the University of southern California. She has a bachelor of music from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master of music from University of Southern California. Mana enjoys performing and recording different styles of music, and she has a Youtube channel with videos of her playing harp and piano, everything from classical masterpieces to arrangements of jazz and pop songs. She loves teaching students of all ages and tries to create an encouraging atmosphere where every student can do their best.
