“Laura Mills is an award-winning vocalist, with a warm and soulful depth in her tone that turns every head when she begins to sing. Her voice is emotive and authentic, whether the song be in English, Italian or French.”
As a tutor, she believes that her students’ growth and success is rooted in her personal connection with them; a safe passage through finding their own unique voice and true capabilities. As the voice develops, so does an appreciation for the mysteriousness and beauty of the voice as a special instrument. Under Laura’s instruction, students gain confidence and a sense of belonging in her studio community, knowledge, discipline, an appreciation for the arts, and a profound understanding of how to “play” their instrument.
Laura holds a B.A. in Vocal Performance from Penn State University and studied opera under Arlene Shrut, head vocal coach at The Julliard School as well as Philadelphia’s Maestro Antonio Conte Pugliese. Laura plays piano, violin, viola, and is also a 200-Hour Certified Yoga Instructor and has taught Yoga for Singers for the last eight years. She fronted original rock band Soul Kitchen Collective, toured as a singer songwriter across the United States and is currently releasing contemporary music with Grammy winning producer Tim Sonnefeld. Laura is currently teaching and performing original music in Los Angeles.
