Chris Lee is a Los Angeles based pianist, composer, producer, and educator with diverse musical background. He studied film scoring at Berklee College of Music in Boston, concentrating on orchestral and electronic music composition in various genres and styles. Upon graduation, he relocated to Los Angeles to work with film composers such as Jeff Rona, Mike Suby, and Joey Newman whose credit include “God of War 2,” “The Butterfly Effect,” “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” and etc. Chris also composed additional music for ABC series, “Make It or Break It.”

Being a passionate jazz pianist, Chris has performed in various venues in Los Angeles and in Boston in piano trio and big band settings. He also toured with renowned violist and recording artist, Richard Yongjae O’neill across 5 cities in Korea, playing arrangements of classical and jazz standards with an orchestra, which aired on national TV. He earned Master’s degree in Jazz Piano at USC, studying and playing with faculty members Russell Ferrante, Bob Mintzer, Peter Erskine, and Alan Pasqua.

As an avid educator, Chris has always been teaching jazz and classical piano and music theory through private lessons and in music institutions to students in beginner to professional level. In addition to teaching here at Rhodes School of Music, Chris also instructs a songwriting course at Musicians Institute in Hollywood.
